Nanaimo’s national award-winning band will be performing their Special 150th Anniversary Concert on Sunday April 10, 2022. Nanaimo Concert Band will play memorable tunes and great works representing each of the decades in their 150 years of musical history. It will be like hearing concert band music in a time machine, going both forward and backward through time while the band plays their wide-ranging musical repertoire of classical, big band, marches, show tunes and more!

Under Music Director Dave Fullerton’s leadership, the band continues with what it has become known and loved for over the last 150 years… a program well played, always entertaining, and leaving the audience wanting more!

Nanaimo Concert Band consists of highly qualified volunteer musicians who play on woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments. One thing that hasn’t changed over the last 150 years, is its ability to attract a fine group of talented musicians. Known as the oldest continuously operating band in Canada, our Band proudly brought home the Gold award from a national competition in Ottawa in 2001 after competing at the highest level of Concert Band competition.
