When we think of Culture, our own or someone else’s, we often see things as they are today. We imagine a static, eternal version of our ways, seeing things today as though that’s the way they’ve always been, but Culture is always on the move. We aren’t all aware of what preceded our traditions, nor are we prescient of the path they will take in the future, nonetheless, Culture is alive. It is dynamic, vibrant, evolving, shifting; outgrowing old patterns and integrating new ones. It evolves in accordance to its own experience, incorporating features from others it comes into contact with or becoming rigid and resistant to change as it collides with conflicting ideas but either way Culture is in motion and more often than not, the most dynamic growth lies at the intersection of Cultures.
