Malaspina Choir Choir presents 9th Annual Sing-along Messiah
Sunday, December 9th 2:00 pm
at St Andrews United Church, 311 Fitzwilliam St., Nanaimo
Sing-along Messiahs are a tradition in many communities and Nanaimo is no exception.
Our ninth annual performance is your opportunity to be a chorister with the Malaspina Choir as we sing Handel’s transcendent Messiah under the direction of Lionel Tanod.
The Cowichan Consort Orchestra provides the accompaniment with David Flello on trumpet and Sharon Wishart on continuo.
Our soloists are Skye Donald, soprano; Julia Morgan, alto; Adam Dyjach, tenor; and Michael MacKinnon, bass.
Exalt the glory of the Lord, tell good tidings to Zion, behold the Lamb of God, sing Hallelujah. And if you’re not a singer? You will enjoy being surrounded by this incomparable music and hearing the trumpet sound! We continue our tradition of sharing proceeds from the concert with a local Nanaimo charity, which this year is Nanaimo Community Hospice.
Scores for Messiah will be available for purchase at the door for $20.
